Police Appeal To Locate Missing Man - Snowy Mountains

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from the state's south.

Bing Wei, aged 61, was last contacted about 2.30pm yesterday (Saturday 14 September 2024), in the Thredbo area.

When he failed to return home and could not be located or contacted, he was reported missing to the Australian Federal Police before the case was transferred to officers attached to Monaro Police District, who commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Bing is described as being of Asian appearance, about 172cm tall, of medium build, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police understand he is from ACT and was travelling to Thredbo yesterday.

He may be travelling in a white Toyota Corolla sedan with ACT registration YOA08H.
