Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the state's north coast.
Joanne Johnston, aged 35, was last seen about 10.30pm Tuesday (3 September 2024) at Toormina.
When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Police District were notified today (Friday 6 September 2024) and immediately commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.
Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare.
Joanne is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 165cm tall, of medium build and brown curly hair. She also has tattoos of the word "mum" on her left hand near the thumb, a turtle on her right lower leg and a skull with the word "love" on her left ankle.
Joanne was last seen wearing a black jumper and black pants.
She is known to frequent the Toormina, Boambee East, Coffs Harbour and Sawtell areas.
