Police Appeal To Locate Teen Missing From Kogarah

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from Sydney's south.

Melon Sumagaysay, aged 17, was last seen leaving a hospital on Gray Street, Kogarah, about 3.15pm yesterday (Monday 27 May 2024).

When he was unable to be contacted or located, officers attached to St George Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for Melon's welfare as he has autism and requires medical treatment.

Melon is described as being of Asian appearance, about 155cm tall, of a thin build, with black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, black trousers and black slide footwear.

Melon is believed to be in the Riverwood but is known to frequent the Stanmore, Hurstville, Kogarah and Sydney CBD areas.

Anyone with information into Melon's whereabouts is urged to call St George Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
