Police Appeal To Locate Teen Missing From Shortland

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a teenage boy missing from the state's north.

Bailey Nelson, aged 14, was last seen on Sandgate Road, Shortland, about 8pm today (Tuesday 22 October 2024).

When he could not be located or contacted, officers attached to Newcastle City Police District were notified and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Police and family hold concerns for his welfare due to his young age.

Bailey is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 177cm tall, of thin build, with short dark/brown hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a white/cream shirt, light green/brown shorts, black cross body bag, and white joggers.

Bailey is known to frequent the Shortland and Newcastle areas.

Anyone with information into his whereabouts is urged to call police, or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
