Police Appeal To Locate Woman Missing From Redfern 8 October

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Redfern.

Leslie Weldon, aged 61, was last seen on Louis Street, Redfern, at 8pm yesterday (Monday 7 October 2024).

It's believed she may have attended a shopping centre at East Gardens at 10am today (Tuesday 8 October 2024).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were notified about 2pm today and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for her welfare as she has severe dementia and Alzheimer's.

Leslie is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 150cm tall, with a thin build and brown and grey hair with red tips.

She was last seen wearing a black jumper and pants, slides and socks,

Leslie is known to frequent the Riverstone, Redfern, Leichhardt, Glebe, Sydney CBD, Richmond and Blue Mountains areas.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to call South Sydney Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
