Police Appeal To Locate Woman Missing From Redfern 10 January

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from Redfern.

Leslie Weldon, aged 61, was last seen in Louis Street, Redfern, about 7.30pm yesterday (Thursday 9 January 2025).

When she could not be located or contacted, officers attached to South Sydney Police Area Command were notified today (Friday 10 January 2025), and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police and family hold serious concerns for Leslie as she lives with dementia and requires medication.

She is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 150cm tall, of thin build, brown/grey shoulder-length hair with red tips, and hazel eyes.

Leslie was last seen wearing a blue/green hooded jumper, dark blue jeans, brown slides and she was carrying a grey leather backpack.

She is known to frequent Eastgardens and Leichhardt.
