Police are appealing for information after an armed robbery in Sydney’s south west earlier today, NSW Police say.
Around 11am today, officers attached to Fairfield Local Area Command were called to a service station on Thorney Road, Fairfield West.
The man armed with a knife threatened the console operator and demanded money.
The man left with cash and cigarettes.
No persons were injured.
Three staff members at the location followed the man; however, he left on a pushbike.
As inquiries continue, police would like to speak to a male who may be able to assist them.
He’s been described as being Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, wearing a ski mask
Anyone who was in the area at the time or has information about the incident is urged to come forward.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
