About 5pm, a white Honda Accord travelling north on Indian Ocean Drive and a silver Jeep Cherokee travelling south, were involved in a collision.
The 23-year-old female driver and 31-year-old female passenger of the Honda Accord received critical injuries and died at the scene.
Both females are Indonesian nationals.
The driver of the Jeep and four passengers all suffered varying levels of injuries (non-life-threatening) and were treated at the scene by SJA WA.
