Police Are Responding To Double Fatal Crash Near Eden

Two people have been killed after a crash on the state's far south coast.

About 1.45pm today (Saturday 17 May 2025), emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash along the Princes Highway, Kiah, about 15km south of Eden.

Two people have died from the one vehicle whilst the female driver and male passenger – both aged in their 60's - from the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The driver has been taken to South East Regional Hospital for mandatory testing.

Officers from South Coast Police District have established a crime scene and are awaiting the arrival of specialist police.

The area is expected to remain a crime scene for a considerable amount of time and motorists are urged to avoid the area.

As investigations commence, police are urging anyone with information about the crash – or who was in the area at the time with any available dashcam/mobile phone footage – to contact Eden Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
