Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a fatal collision in Merbein this afternoon.
It is believed that a truck collided with a car near the intersection of Main Avenue Street and Fifth Street about 2.30pm.
The passenger of the car, who is yet to be identified, died at the scene.
Both the driver of the car and the driver of the truck, have been taken to hospital for observations.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
There is expected to be significant traffic disruptions in the area.
