Police are investigating a fatal collision in Altona North this morning.
It's believed a car hit a barrier then collided with a truck on the West Gate Freeway near Grieve Parade around 5.10am.
Sadly, the yet to be formally identified male driver and sole occupant of the car died at the scene.
The driver and sole occupant of the truck was not seriously injured.
