Police are investigating a fatal collision in Toolleen today that has left one person deceased.
Emergency services were called to the Northern Highway just after 4.30pm following reports of a two-car collision.
The male driver of one of the vehicles has died at the scene, his female passenger has been taken to hospital in a serious but non-life-threatening condition.
The male driver of the other vehicle was treated for minor injuries and his female passenger treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are being investigated.
