A young woman has died in a crash at Carew, near Bordertown, last night.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Cannawigara Road, Carew, about 8.20pm on Friday 16 September by reports of a single vehicle crash.
A car had left the road and collided with a tree.
Sadly, the driver, an 18-year-old local woman, died at the scene.
Cannawigara Road was closed for several hours while Major Crash investigators attended and examined the scene. The road has since reopened.
The young woman's death is the 54th life lost on South Australian roads so far this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 68.
