Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Belfield

A woman has died in a single-vehicle crash in Sydney's west today.

About 10.30am (Monday 13 January 2025), emergency services were called to Punchbowl Road, Belfield, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Auburn Police Area Command attended and found a vehicle had crashed into a house.

The female passenger of the car was trapped for some time before being freed.

She was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however, died at the scene.

The woman is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the car, an 82-year-old man, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.

Motorists are advised that Punchbowl Road is closed in both directions at Belfield. Check livetraffic.com for updates.
