Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Blackmans Flat

A man has died after a two-vehicle crash in the state's west overnight.

About 9pm (Tuesday 14 January 2025), emergency services were called to the Castlereagh Highway, Blackmans Flat, after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and found a Toyota Corolla and a Landcruiser had collided head on.

The driver of the Toyota – a man believed to be aged in her 60's – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics; however, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the Landcruiser – a 54 – year-old man – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to Bathurst Hospital for mandatory testing.

Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
