A man has died following a crash in the state's west.
About 4pm today (Sunday 16 March 2025), emergency services were called to the Barrier Highway, Broken Hill following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
On arrival, officers attached to Barrier Police District found a truck and car crash.
The passenger of the car, a man believed to be aged in his 40's, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
The driver of the car, a female believed to be aged in her 30's, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Broken Hill Hospital in a serious but stable condition. She will undergo mandatory testing.
The driver of the truck, a man believed to be aged in his 50's was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Broken Hill Hospital in a stable condition. He will undergo mandatory testing.
The Barrier Highway remains closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to check livetraffic.com for updates
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
