Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Castle Hill

A woman has died after a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's north-west.

About 5.25pm on Wednesday (19 June 2024), emergency services were called to Tuckwell Road, Castle Hill, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.

On arrival, officers attached to The Hills Police Area Command were told a silver Mercedes sedan and a white Isuzu Ute had crashed in to each other.

The front passenger of sedan – a 58-year-old woman – was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition however, she later died at the hospital.

The driver of the sedan – a 24-year-old woman – and two other passengers – aged 60 and 18 – were also taken to Westmead Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the Ute – a 47-year-old man was taken to Westmead Hospital for mandatory testing.

He is assisting police with their inquiries.

Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
