Police are responding to fatal crash, Glenwood

A 53-year-old Maryborough man has died following a two-vehicle crash at Glenwood this morning (Tuesday May 17).

Initial investigations indicate that at approximately 7.30am a Toyota station wagon and an Audi sedan have collided on the Bruce Highway.

The 53-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the Audi was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital with critical injuries, where he later died.

The occupants of the station wagon, a 73-year-old Torquay woman and 70-year-old Torquay man, were transported to Gympie Base Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
