A 26-year-old man has died following a three vehicle crash at Gordonvale this morning (December 8).
Initial investigations indicate just after 6am on the Bruce Highway a crash occurred between a truck, a Mazda BT-50 and Toyota Hilux.
The driver of the Toyota Hilux, a 26-year-old White Rock man, was transported in a critical condition to Cairns Hospital where he died a short time later.
The driver of the truck, a 48-year-old Manunda man, was transported to Cairns Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
The driver of the Mazda, a 28-year-old Bungalow man, was transported to Cairns Hospital in a stable condition.
A 42 year-old man, a passenger in the Toyota Hilux, along with a 33 year-old man and a 23-year-old man who were passengers in the truck were all transported to Cairns Hospital in stable conditions.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
Police appeal to anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in the area at the time of the crash to come forward.
