Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Strathmerton today.
Officers have been told a local resident raised the alarm after seeing smoke in the vicinity of the crash on Bourchiers Road, near Old Coach Road, on Tuesday 26 September just after 1pm.
Sadly it appears the yet to be identified driver died at the scene following a single vehicle crash into a tree.
Attending police believe the crash may have occurred sometime between 10.30-11am and are appealing for witnesses.
