Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash which occurred in Roxburgh Park this morning.
Investigators have been told a car crashed into a tree and caught fire on Bridgewater Road about 2.40am.
Emergency services were called to the scene and the fire was extinguished.
The yet to be identified driver, and only occupant of the car, was located deceased.
At this stage the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be established and an investigation is underway.
Detectives from Major Collision investigation Unit will also attend the scene.
