Police are responding to fatal crash in Caroline Springs

Police are investigating a fatal crash in Caroline Springs last night.

It's understood a Nissan SUV crashed into a parked white Holden Commodore in the Western Freeway emergency lane, near Christies Road, about 10.40pm on Sunday, 6 February.

The driver of the Nissan, a 60-year-old Rockbank man, sadly died at the scene.

It's believed the Holden was unoccupied at the time of the crash and investigators are making enquiries into the driver of the vehicle.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and investigations remain ongoing.
