Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal crash in Walhalla.
Investigators have been told a car was travelling along Walhalla Road about 4.15pm this afternoon when the driver lost control and the vehicle left the road.
The car then went down an embankment before coming to rest.
Two male occupants of the car, believed to be in their late teens, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
The male driver, also believed to be in his late teens, is believed to have suffered critical injuries while a male passenger in the rear of the vehicle, also believed to be in his late teens, died at the scene.
The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined and detectives from Major Collision investigation Unit are headed to the scene.
