Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash In Yalyalup

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section are seeking information regarding a fatal crash that occurred in Yalyalup (near Busselton), on Saturday 29 June 2024.

About 6.30pm, a maroon coloured Mercedes C200 sedan and a white Mitsubishi Rosa mini-bus collided at the intersection of Tuart Drive and Bussell Highway.

The driver of the Mercedes, an 18-year-old woman, sustained critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene. A passenger in the Mercedes, a 17-year-old girl, sustained serious injuries and was conveyed to Bunbury Regional Hospital for treatment.

The bus driver, a 23-year-old man, was not injured in the crash.

Major Crash investigators are urging anyone with any information relating to this crash, or who saw either the maroon Mercedes C200 sedan or the white Mitsubishi Rosa mini-bus travelling in the area prior to the crash, to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
