A 23-year-old Koongal man has died following a crash that occurred in Marlborough on December 5.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash, however initial investigations indicate a truck and ute crashed at the intersection of Bruce Highway and Marlborough Sarina Road on Thursday just before 1pm.
The 23-year-old Koongal man, the front passenger of the ute, and the 36-year-old driver were trapped inside the vehicle before being transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The Koongal man succumbed to his injuries and died today.
Two other passengers of the ute were also transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with serious injuries.
The truck driver, a man in his 50s, was transported to Rockhampton Base Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are continuing and witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision is urged to come forward.
