Four people have died in a two-vehicle crash in the state's west.
About 9.20pm Friday (27 September 2024) emergency services were called to the Newell Highway, Tomingley, following reports of a multi vehicle crash.
Officers attached to Orana Mid-Western Police District attended the scene and found two vehicles had collided.
Four people, two men, believed to be aged in their 20s, and an older man and woman, ages unknown, died at the scene. They are yet to be formally identified.
The male driver of one of the vehicles, age unknown, was taken to Dubbo Hospital with suspected leg injuries.
A report will be prepared for the corner.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the crash.
The Newell Highway is closed in both directions and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
