Police are on scene of a fatal truck crash in the states south.
About 1.15am (Thursday 13 February 2025), emergency services were called to the Hume Highway, near Pedell Lane, Oolong, about 35km east of Yass, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to The Hume Police District attended and found a B-Double truck had left the roadway and rolled, before a second B-Double truck travelling behind crashed into the rear.
The male driver of one of the trucks died at the scene.
The second driver is in a critical condition.
All southbound traffic has been diverted to the Federal and Barton Highways.
Police have established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
