A man has died following a two-vehicle crash in the state's north overnight.
About 8.30pm (Monday 29 August 2022), emergency services were called Tooloom Road, near Urbenville Road at Urbenville, following reports two vehicle had collided.
On arrival, NSW Ambulance paramedics located the driver of a Holden sedan suffering serious injuries and despite their efforts, he could not be revived and died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified but is believed to be aged 41.
Officers from Richmond Police District established a crime scene, which was examined by specialist forensic police.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash commenced.
The driver of the second vehicle – a 60-year-old man – suffered minor injuries.
The man was subjected to a roadside breath test and allegedly returned a positive result.
He was arrested and taken to Lismore Base Hospital for mandatory testing.
Inquiries continue.
