Police Are Responding To Fatal Crash - Wilberforce

A woman has died in a two-vehicle crash northwest of Sydney.

About 12.40pm today (Tuesday 12 November 2024) emergency services were called to Putty Road, Wilberforce, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command attended and found two vehicles – a Holden and a Toyota Landcruiser - had collided.

The driver of the Holden – a woman believed to be aged in her 70s – died at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota – a 57-year-old man – and his two passengers were uninjured.

The 57-year-old man will be taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene has been established and police have commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.

Putty Road is closed in both directions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and check Live Traffic for updates.
