Police are responding to fatal crash, Woolmar

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash in Woolmar, that took the life of a 84-year-old driver and left a 70-year-old passenger with injuries.

Early information indicates the man was driving along the D'Aguilar Highway at about 2pm when the vehicle he was driving left the roadway and collided with a tree.

The Buaraba man died at the scene and the only passenger was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
