Northern Territory Police Force are investigating a serious crash that occurred in Katherine yesterday evening.
Around 7:50pm, police received reports of a two-vehicle collision along chambers Drive.
Police and St John Ambulance attended and a 21-year-old female occupant from one of the vehicles was conveyed to Katherine Hospital in a critical condition.
The female was later transported to Royal Darwin Hospital via Care Flight.
Occupants from the second vehicle were conveyed to Katherine hospital for assessment with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigations are ongoing.
Sergeant Neil James said, "It is extremely sad for any family to receive the news that a loved one has been involved in a serious crash and with that in mind, we continue to urge road users to drive with care on our roads.
"Eliminate distractions, manage fatigue, don't speed or get behind the wheel under the influence and wear a seat belt."
