Police are investigating a serious crash involving a red Suzuki hatch and a yellow Fuso Canter delivery truck on Main Rd, Exeter today.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene about 2.37pm.
Preliminary investigations indicate the driver of the Suzuki has pulled out of a business car park to turn right and has been struck by the truck which was travelling north on Main Rd.
The female driver of the Suzuki was taken to the Launceston General Hospital with serious injuries. The male driver of the truck was not physically injured.
The road was closed for four hours to allow crash investigators to examine the scene and conduct inquiries. Police would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding.
