Police: Armed Robbery Charges in Rockhampton North

Police have charged a 25-year-old man in relation to the alleged armed robbery of a fast-food restaurant in Rockhampton North on Friday, August 30.

It will be alleged the man attended the Musgrave Street business around 8.30pm, where he threatened staff with a piece of wood and stole a quantity of cash.

Following investigations by Rockhampton Criminal Investigation Branch, detectives located and arrested the man at Rockhampton City yesterday afternoon, August 31.

He has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of wilful damage and enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.

He has been denied police bail and is expected to appear at Rockhampton Magistrates Court tomorrow, Monday September 2.
