A driver has been arrested after allegedly crashing into multiple cars in the Woodville South area this morning.
Police received multiple reports from witnesses about a vehicle driving on the incorrect side of Port Road about 11.15am on Sunday 18 August.
The blue Mazda sedan collided with several vehicles travelling on Port Road, near Woodville Road, Woodville South.
The car continued on and struck another vehicle near Oval Avenue.
The other driver, a 55-year-old woman, was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
The alleged driver of the blue Mazda was located a short distance away in Balmoral Street, Woodville Park by police and arrested. He did not appear to have been injured in the collisions.
The 39-year-old Pooraka man was charged with driving under the influence, driving without due care, cause harm by dangerous driving and failing to submit to breath analysis. He also tested positive to methamphetamine and cannabis.
He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 16 September.
One of the vehicles was towed from the scene due to accident damage. The blue Mazda was also towed away for forensic examination.
Police are speaking with the other motorists and passengers as part of the investigation.
