Four people have been arrested following four robberies in the northern and eastern suburbs late last night.
About 9.45pm on Wednesday 10 November, police were called to a service station on John Rice Avenue at Elizabeth South after reports two males entered with a knife, threatened a staff member and demanded cash. One suspect jumped the counter however was thwarted by the staff member.
Both males left the store empty handed and were last seen running across John Rice Avenue.
At 10.20pm on the same evening, two suspects entered a service station on Port Wakefield Road at Cavan. One suspect was armed with a knife and threatened the console operator who handed over cash and tobacco products.
About 15 minutes later two males armed with knives entered a service station on Bridge Road at Pooraka, threatened staff and demanding cash from the till. The pair stole cash from the store and fled on foot.
At 10.48pm, two males entered a service station on North East Road at Modbury. One of the males was armed with a knife and he demanded money from staff members. They refused to hand over any cash and the two suspects fled the scene.
A short time later police stopped a white utility and two people attempted to run from the scene. The two suspects were caught on Kelly Road at Modbury.
Patrols searched the area with Police Dog Stoic finding one of the suspects near a creek. The other suspect was located on a nearby back street by patrols.
Police searched the car and located a knife allegedly used in the robberies.
A 24-year-old Andrews Farm woman, a 22-year-old Modbury man, a 17-year-old Craigmore boy and a 14-year-old Northfield boy were all charged with aggravated robbery and theft offences.
All four suspects were refused bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Courts today.
Fortunately no one was physically injured as a result of the robberies.
