Police Arrest Man After Body Located - Campsie PAC

A man has been arrested after the body of a woman was located in Sydney's south west this morning.

About 7.50am (Wednesday 11 December 2024), police were called to a home on Knox Street, Belmore, following a concern for welfare.

Officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command attended and located the body of a woman.

She is yet to be formally identified; however, is believed to be aged in her 30s.

A crime scene was established and an investigation into the incident commenced with the assistance of State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.

Following inquiries, officers attended and a residence in Denham Court and arrested a 35-year-old man.

He was taken to Campbeltown Police Station where he is assisting police with inquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.
