Police arrest man after Bowden robbery, South Australia

A man was arrested within minutes after allegedly robbing a supermarket at Bowden this evening.

It will be alleged the man entered the supermarket on Third Avenue, Bowden about 7.50pm on Thursday 10 November armed with a knife. He stole cash from a till and ran off.

Patrols arrived within minutes and located a suspect nearby, near the corner of Third Street and Plenty Place.

The 49-year-old man was arrested.

He was subsequently taken by ambulance to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for a medical issue and is expected to be charged with aggravated robbery overnight.

Staff at the store were shaken but not physically injured.

Investigations are continuing, with the arrested man likely to appear in court tomorrow.
