A man has been arrested following a pursuit across Melbourne's eastern suburbs this morning.
Police initially sighted the Ford travelling along Heatherdale Road at the intersection of Canterbury Road at speed just after 4am.
Officers attempted to intercept the sedan but the driver allegedly refused and continued to drive in the vicinity of Springvale Road, Nunawading.
With the assistance of the Air Wing, officers successfully deployed stop sticks along Canterbury Road before the vehicle came to a stop on East Boundary Road, Bentleigh East.
The driver and sole occupant, a 23-year-old Footscray man was immediately arrested.
The Footscray man will be interviewed by detectives this morning.
