Police have arrested an inmate who escaped from a correctional facility in the Riverina region last week.
The 33-year-old man was reported missing from the minimum-security facility in Tumbarumba on Friday 6 May 2022.
Officers from Riverina Police District searched the area and commenced inquiries to locate the man.
Following inquiries, the man was located at a home in Bourkelands shortly after 12pm today (Monday 9 May 2022).
He was arrested and taken to Wagga Wagga Police Station, where charges are expected to be laid.
