Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man after he allegedly evaded police in a stolen car this afternoon.
Police spotted a vehicle, which was allegedly stolen from Pearcedale this morning, on Wellington Road in Clayton about 1pm.
With assistance from the Air Wing, the car was followed through Noble Park, Dandenong and Carrum Downs.
The male driver came to a stop in traffic on Dandenong Road East in Frankston, near the intersection of Overton Road.
A police vehicle stopped near the car where officers got out.
The car allegedly reversed and crashed into the police vehicle.
There were no injuries.
The 26-year-old Pearcedale man was arrested at the scene.
He is assisting police with their enquiries.
