Police Arrest Man After Fatal Collision In Trafalgar

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following an alleged hit-run collision in Trafalgar at the weekend.

A 43-year-old Fumina South man self-presented at a police station last night.

He is assisting police with their enquiries.

A passer-by located a man's body by the side of Waterloo Road about 10.30am on Sunday, 28 July.

It is understood the man was struck by a truck sometime overnight on Saturday, or early on Sunday morning.

Investigations are ongoing as police are yet to formally identify the man, believed to be in his sixties.

He was wearing a black tracksuit top, a white chequered shirt, black trackpants with two white stripes down the sides, and no shoes.
