Major Collision Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a fatal collision which occurred in Lancefield on 16 March.
It is alleged a Holden Commodore Ute was travelling west along Rochford Road about 6.55pm before it crashed into a tree near Collivers Lane.
Two male passengers in the vehicle, aged 36 and 31-years-old, died at the scene.
A 43-year-old Newham man was charged with two counts of culpable driving causing death and is expected to be charged with various other speed and alcohol related offences at a later date.
The man appeared in court today was bailed to attend Bendigo Magistrates' Court on 4 September.
