A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Sydney's Inner West on Monday.
About 7.40pm on Monday 23 September 2024, emergency services responded to reports of a man being stabbed on Marrickville Road, Marrickville.
Officers from Inner West Police Area Command and NSW Ambulance paramedics performed CPR but the 32-year-old man could not be revived and he died at the scene.
Police secured a crime scene and an investigation under Strike Force Nogales was established to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man's death, with the assistance of detectives from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
Following inquiries, about 5.40pm today (Wednesday 25 September 2024), a 31-year-old man was arrested at Concord.
He has been taken into custody and is assisting police with inquiries.
