A man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Bombaderry earlier this month.
About 7pm Friday 9 December 2022, officers from South Coast Police District were called to West Birriley Street, Bomaderry, following reports an 18-year-old man had suffered chest injuries.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Shoalhaven Hospital in a critical condition; however, he died a short time later.
Police established a crime scene and begun investigations under Strike Force Elephant.
Following extensive inquiries, about 7.45am today (Thursday 21 December 2022), a 20-year-old was arrested at a home on West Birriley Street, Bombaderry.
He was taken back to Nowra Police Station, where he is expected to be charged with murder.
