Police Arrest Man After Fatal Stabbing In Thomastown

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating after a man was fatally stabbed in Thomastown last night.

Police were called to a Victoria Drive address about 8.40pm on 11 July following reports a man had been stabbed.

Medical assistance was provided, however the 36-year-old Doreen man died at the scene.

Police arrested a 45-year-old Glenroy man at the scene and he remains in custody.

Detectives are still searching for a second person in relation to the incident.

At this early stage in the investigation, the incident appears to be a targeted attack.

Detectives are keen to speak to anyone in the area who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage.
