Police Arrest Man After Firearms Incident In Doncaster

Police have arrested a man after a shot was allegedly fired following a collision in Doncaster this morning.

It is believed that two vehicles collided near the intersection of Williamsons and Manningham roads about 11am.

The driver of one of the vehicles left his car and allegedly fired a gun.

Members of the public managed to overpower the man and hold him until police arrived.

The 32-year-old man, who sustained minor injuries, was arrested and is currently in police custody.

Officers located a firearm at the scene which was seized.

No one else was injured.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene and will be interviewed by police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
