Alexandra Crime Investigation Unit detectives with the assistance of Arson Squad detectives and CFA investigators have arrested a man following a grass fire in Flowerdale today.
The fire is believed to have started in the Spring Valley Road area in Flowerdale yesterday afternoon and spread into bushland.
A 71-year-old Flowerdale man was arrested and interviewed today.
He has been released pending further enquiries and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police and CFA remain on scene and are currently working to keep the fire under control.
