Police arrest man after Gepps Cross road rage incident, South Australia

A man has been arrested following a road rage incident at Gepps Cross last night.

Police and ambulance officers were called to Grand Junction Road near Amanga Street about 6.40pm on Thursday 27 February after reports of a crash between a Toyota Corolla and silver Nissan SUV.

Immediately following the crash, a man and woman from the Nissan got out and approached the driver of the Toyota. The man then assaulted the driver of the Toyota and drove off.

The driver of the Toyota suffered a suspected broken jaw and was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment.

Police located the severely damaged Nissan nearby and arrested a 21-year-old Brahma Lodge man.

He was charged with aggravated assault causing harm and property damage, and was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court on 26 March.

Investigations are continuing and anyone who witnessed the crash who hasn't yet spoken to police is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
