A man has been arrested after a pursuit in the western suburbs.
It will be alleged that about 9.25pm on Saturday 7 December, police attempted to stop a black Holden Commodore sedan on Seaview Road at Henley Beach.
The car initially stopped, but then sped off, turning east on to North Street then continuing north on Military Road over Trimmer Parade.
PolAir was nearby and was able to monitor the car as it reached speeds of more than 120km/h in a 60km/h zone on Military Road.
The car was abandoned soon after on Plover Grove.
Patrols searched the area and located the two occupants on Bartley Terrace.
The driver, a 43-year-old Semaphore Park man was charged with driving at an extreme speed, dangerous driving to escape a police pursuit and drive while disqualified.
He was bailed to appear in court at a later date.
The male passenger was questioned by police but was not charged.
The Holden was impounded for 28 days.
