Police Arrest Man After Seaford Police Car Ramming

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested a man following a police vehicle ramming in Seaford this afternoon.

Officers spotted an allegedly stolen car at a property on Seaford Road and attempted to intercept it about 12pm.

The male driver reversed into the police vehicle and rammed into it several times.

He then got out of the vehicle while it was still moving and fled on foot.

A male police officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the incident and was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police arrested the 34-year-old Seaford man on Walnut Court in Seaford a short time later.

He was taken to hospital under police guard and will be interviewed by detectives.
